Membership

Cowboy Fast Draw Association
(cfda)

The Cowboy Fast Draw Association is the main sponsor of the Waldo County Rangers.  It is now one of the fastest western sports in the U.S.  The sport had it's start in the old west and reorganized in 2004 as the sport of cfda.
It is the more affordable western style sport that requires basically just a 45 caliber western style pistol with a period style holster and belt.  The period costume is encouraged but not required.  The game is played man against man, or woman against woman and sometimes mixed.  It uses a special shell case that holds a shotgun primer and fires a sanctioned waxed bullet.
Membership is not the least expensive but well worth the fee.  A membership allows you to participate in sanctioned matches and claim prizes.  Thousands of dollars worth of prizes are given out at various events such as the World titles, Nationals and State matches.

Waldo County Rangers

The heart and soul of any organization is the basic group of folks sharing the common interests and goals.  The Waldo County Rangers is a local club, one of many that make up the sports sponsored by CFDA.
The club is governed by a few simple rules with a simple structure of government made up of a Board of Directors that are in office for a term of five years.
The membership is made up of three types of members:
Life members,  who have special previlidges and a one time dues payment of $200 after a probation period of one year as a member.  Regular members, who pay yearly dues and have voting rights. $15 per year.
Associate members, who don't meet criteria for full membership. $10 per year.

All members recieve the newsletter and use of the targets and range.  A small fee for non-life members.

Badges

Life members recieve a free gold badge with their membership fee and fee is payable in installments so long as it is paid within the calendar year.

All other members are entitled to purchase a silver badge for $35.

These are high quality badges made by Lawman Badge Co.  Both types are done in an antique finish.

National Rifle Association

Our rights to own firearms would have been gone a long time ago if it weren't for the folks at the NRA.  Come to think about it, folks like you and me are the core component that makes up the NRA, but without your help and support our voices just won't be heard by political entities looking to take away our firearms.  You would be amazed with the ways these special interest groups attempt to limit our use of firearms, not just by banning guns but the very components of ammunitions used in manufacturing it.
The NRA not only speaks on our behalf to protect our rights but has hundreds of programs to education the public and promote safe handling of firearms.  It also has programs to help clubs with grants and insurance.
You can join as an associate for as little as $10 a year.  Why don't you click the link above for more information on becoming a member.
66% of the Waldo County Rangers membership are members of the NRA and we are petitioning to become official recruiters.
